Moving and shipping, Jeddah

Naqal Afash

A Jeddah moving and shipping company with no website, and therefore no way to advertise at all. We built the site, set up the tracking, and ran Google Ads on a budget of around AED 430.

§ 01/Challenge

Naqal Afash moves furniture, goods and offices across Saudi Arabia, and had no website. That is not only a visibility problem. Without a site there is nowhere for an advert to send anyone, so paid search was not merely underused, it was unavailable. Work arrived by word of mouth or it did not arrive.

§ 02/Approach

Build for one city and one action. The site was written for a Jeddah audience and pointed at a single outcome, a phone call, because a call is how this business actually takes work. Nearly every visitor turned out to arrive on a phone, so the number stays within thumb reach on every screen rather than sitting in a header nobody scrolls back to.

§ 03/Execution

  • 01

A WordPress site built around the local service area, hosted on Hostinger, with the phone number as the primary action on every page.

  • 02

Basic technical and on-page SEO with Rank Math: titles, descriptions, heading structure and indexing.

  • 03

Google Ads and Google Analytics set up from scratch and targeted to Jeddah.

  • 04

A first campaign phase through July, which produced impressions and calls but ran before conversion tracking existed, so none of it could be attributed.

  • 05

Conversion tracking added before the second phase, from late July, so the next round could be measured rather than guessed at.

§ 04/Results

Over the ten days from 9 to 18 August the ads returned 121 clicks at a 3.15% click-through rate and an average cost of SAR 3.63 per click, on SAR 438.88 of spend, roughly AED 430. The audience was 96.7% mobile, concentrated in Jeddah, and busiest between 5 and 7pm. Across the two weeks under tracking, 114 calls were made. Those are calls placed, not a conversion rate against the click figure above, and the two cover different periods. The July phase is excluded entirely because it ran before tracking was in place, and we would rather publish the smaller measured number than the larger unmeasured one.
